Earn your Molecular & Cell Biology Concentration from 91ÁÔÆæ
The Molecular and Cell Biology concentration is designed for students who want a deep understanding of cellular and molecular processes. Students will engage deeply with the structure, function, and interactions of cells and molecules through a combination of coursework and hands-on laboratory experiences in molecular and microscopy techniques. Courses cover subjects such as genetics, biochemistry, electrophysiology, developmental biology, and neurobiology. Throughout the program, you™ll strengthen scientific reasoning, communication, and critical thinking skills that are supported by a broad liberal arts education.
Students benefit from close mentorship by faculty conducting research in host-pathogen interactions, stem cell biology, and tissue dynamics and migration in cells during development, to name a few. You™ll have opportunities to conduct independent research, contribute to ongoing faculty projects, or design original experiments. Many students present their work at conferences or complete thesis-level research. This concentration prepares you for graduate or medical school and careers in research, healthcare, biotechnology, and related fields.
